Monteraponi - Chianti ClassicoThe Monteraponi estate, spanning 12 hectares, boasts some of the highest vineyards in the Chianti Classico area, with vines planted up to 570 metres above sea level on albarese and galestro limestone soils. All work is done in the traditional way, with hand harvesting, spontaneous fermentations in concrete and ageing in large used French and Slavonian oak casks. The wines are elegant, classic and supremely age worthy.
