TIMBER | Alder (Solid Wood)A deciduous wood, Alder has an attractive orange brown shade and is resilient to cracking. It is easy to work manually or by machine, well suited to lasering and raster engraving. Surface finishing is unproblematic, in particular it is easy to stain and is often used as an alternative to expensive high grade woods. Our Alder planks are supplied with a pre lacquered finish, to maintain this finish we process (and ship) with a protective masking tape
